I am running for Twin Falls County Clerk because it’s time for a Change in the clerk’s office with a renewed focus on Accountability and Transparency!

I am NOT a Career Politician! I am just a concerned citizen who loves freedom and wants the best for life, just like you.
I’m a Christian, Conservative Republican, 24-year Air Force Veteran, Father of 6, Grandfather of 4, Married for 28 Years, and I always follow the principles of Service, Integrity, and Excellence, which guided me throughout my military career.
I am a business-minded professional with an MBA who has training and experience in Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity, Inspector General (By-Law & Policy Compliance), Administration, Management, Logistics, and Personnel. I am open to new ideas, and I am a strong proponent of election integrity, including hand-counting ballots.

If you want to have a professional, responsive, experienced, and dependable Clerk’s office, but with fresh energy, new ideas, and true election integrity, vote for Jose Sanchez in the upcoming May 19 primary. It’s time for a change!
Issues
Change
My opponent was appointed, ran unopposed 5 times, and has been in office for more than two decades as part of the establishment. As true Republicans, we support term limits and democratic elections. I will bring change with fresh energy and a new vision and ideas to improve the efficiency and services of the clerk’s office.
Accountability
We need a renewed focus on fiscal responsibility, especially given reduced revenue and economic uncertainty. I will prioritize and validate budgetary decisions and new development ideas with input from the community to solve current problems, while increasing local government revenue and reducing the taxpayers’ tax burden.
Transparency
I will increase transparency in decision making and work diligently to improve election integrity. As an experienced Cybersecurity Squadron Superintendent and Inspector General, I know how machines can be manipulated, so I support hand counting votes as an additional level of security to bring back trust and transparency to our electoral system!
About Jose
I was born in Puerto Rico in 1973 and graduated from high school in 1989. Shortly after, I attended the University of Puerto Rico, where I studied Political Science. In 1993, not too long after the Gulf War began, I decided to join the United States Air Force. After completing Basic Military Training and Technical School, I was stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, a place that would soon become home.

During my more than seven years stationed there, I met my wife, Jennifer, and we were married in 1997. While serving on active duty, I remained committed to education and professional growth, earning an Associate degree in Information Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and my Professional Manager Certification. Throughout my military career, I held a wide range of positions across multiple areas of expertise, ultimately serving as a Cybersecurity Squadron Superintendent and later within the Inspector General’s office.
After 24 years of honorable service, I retired from active duty in 2016 and returned to Idaho to enjoy the freedoms I had dedicated my career to protecting. I carried with me the core values the Air Force instilled in me, such as Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do. As I settled back into civilian life, I noticed how much had changed in the more than fifteen years I had been away, and not always for the better.

A few years into retirement, I decided to re-enter the workforce and spent five years serving as a Home Loan Officer with USDA Rural Development. Through that role, I saw firsthand the challenges facing everyday families in our communities. Watching the direction our country and local government were heading ultimately led me to step forward and run for County Clerk. I believe my education, leadership experience, and commitment to service uniquely position me to help provide a stronger, more accountable future for our county’s residents.
God, along with my family, has always been at the center of my life. I am the proud father of six children: one pursuing a medical career, another studying exercise science while playing college football, and three working in blue-collar professions. I am also blessed with four grandchildren, who motivate me every day to work toward a better tomorrow for the generations to come.
